Ambra University was founded in 2010 and has already impacted more than 1300 students throughout its history, initially with undergraduate programs and, since 2018, with master's programs.

Ambra University has been physically located at the same address in downtown Orlando since its founding and undergoes an annual in-person inspection by the Florida Department of Education.
Our offices are located at Executive Suites at 37 North Orange Avenue Suite 500, and the headquarters offer dedicated office, conference rooms, lounge, kitchen, restrooms, and count with technical and administrative support to students. Check out the entrance of the building where Ambra is located.
Ambra programs are primarily through the Internet, and in-person events occur in the conference centers of hotels in Orlando.

Nesta disciplina, são estudados temas como Nova Economia Institucional, Análise Econômica do Direito, Economia do Setor Público, Teoria dos Jogos, Políticas Públicas, Economia e Finanças, permitindo ao aluno desenvolver capacidade de examinar criticamente as intervenções públicas, com foco no desenvolvimento econômico.
Análise Política e Filosófica do Direito
Propõe-se o estudo do direito sob um prisma ético e filosófico, buscando compreender sua natureza, fundamentos, relação com a sociedade, política e moral, bem como a forma como a sociedade influencia a criação e aplicação do Direito.
A disciplina de Análise Política e Filosófica do Direito podá erser substituida por Teoria da Decisão Judicial:
A disciplina tem por fim dotar o mestrando de subsídios e instrumentos para analisar criticamente a teoria da decisão judicial, em especial no que tange ao diálogo com a hermenêutica e a teoria da argumentação, permitindo a percepção das relações da teoria da decisão judicial com temas do Direito Constitucional e do Direito Eleitoral.
Scientific Method and Research
Ao mestrando é apresentado o conjunto de técnicas e saberes que tem como finalidade viabilizar a construção de uma pesquisa sólida, com credibilidade, baseada em fundamentos científicos e organizada a fim de apresentar de forma clara os resultados obtidos com a investigação. A disciplina dá ênfase para a metodologia na área de ciências sociais e ciências sociais aplicadas, adentrando às peculiaridades da pesquisa científica no Direito e na Política.

Trata-se do projeto que estrutura e define em detalhes o que e como sera feit aa pesquisa da dissertação.

Direitos Fundamentais, Mídias e Liberdade de Expressão: desafios, contradições e conflitos para Democracia e para o Direito Eleitoral
A disciplina objetiva investigar o núcleo essencial dos direitos fundamentais das pessoas eleitoras, candidatas e ocupantes de cargos eletivos, evidenciando as diversas contradições e conflitos inerentes ao processo eleitoral e político, em especial aqueles decorrentes da influência da mídia e do exercício da liberdade de expressão e informação.
Criminalização da política, despolitização da sociedade e o aumento da polarização: os desafios contemporâneos das instituições democráticas
Nesta disciplina o mestrando passa a compreender os desafios postos à democracia na realização da mediação entre o povo (titular e destinatário do poder) e as diversas instituições que a compõem (Justiça Eleitoral, Partidos Políticos etc.). O mestrando também estuda o possível excesso de restrição ao exercício dos direitos políticos advindo tanto da atividade legislativa quanto do controle jurisdicional exercido em relação à atividade político-eleitoral.
Financiamento e intervenções arbitrárias na disputa democrática: representatividade e partilha do poder no Brasil e no mundo
A disciplina almeja investigar a forma pela qual a Democracia é organizada e pode ser afetada pela interferência de poderes sociais, políticos e econômicos, produzindo distorções indevidas na representação do povo, seja nas eleições, seja no exercício dos mandatos.
Tutelas Jurídico-Processuais de Direitos Individuais, de Metaindividuais Eleitorais e Políticos e Novos Paradigmas para solução de conflitos
Nesta disciplina discutem-se os diversos instrumentos jurídico-processuais brasileiros que objetivam garantir a realização dos valores constitucionais nos processos eleitorais e políticos, investigando novos paradigmas para solução de conflitos em eleições e o caráter metaindividual de bens jurídicos tutelados no processo eleitoral.

If your bachelor's degree was issued in the United States, Brazil, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, Angola, Mozambique, or England, an equivalency evaluation is generally not required by most academic institutions (subject to Ambra’s review of your documentation). For degrees from other countries, you must obtain a credential equivalency report for a U.S. bachelor’s degree from an agency that is a member of theNational Association of Credential Evaluation Services – NACES. To do so, you should contact the selected agency directly to inquire about the procedures and fees for evaluating your documentation.
No. Ambra does not accept credit transfers for master's programs.
No. Although credit acceptance is determined by the receiving institution, students in this program should not expect to begin their master's studies at Ambra with the intention of completing them at another institution.
The average time commitment required is 15 hours per week over the course of 40 weeks per year.
The program can be completed in a hybrid format with in-person sessions in Orlando, FL, or entirely online.
No. It refers to a program delivered online using the CAP Method®, in which each student receives individualized support from a highly qualified professor through a coaching-like process. This approach incorporates formative assessment and deliberate practice to help each student achieve the specific goals set for each course, as well as the overall objectives of their chosen program.
Yes. The production of a master's thesis is a required component for completing the program, along with other academic requirements. The thesis must undergo a qualification process and be defended publicly before a final evaluation committee. Each master's candidate receives individualized guidance from an advisor throughout the dissertation development process.

All students have the opportunity to write and publish articles in collaboration with faculty throughout the master's program.
No. Applicants are not required to contact faculty during the admissions process. Selection is carried out by a designated committee, and each student will have a specific point during the program to meet and choose their master's advisor.
No, knowing or having previously studied with one of the professors does not give you any advantage in the admissions process. Selection is based on the information and insights gathered throughout the admissions process by a designated committee, not by the faculty as a whole.

It is a document to be written by the applicant and evaluated as part of the admissions process. The admission essay must follow specific guidelines and address questions that connect the applicant’s educational background, professional experience, and future projects with the pursuit of the doctorate at Ambra. Once registered, the applicant will receive instructions on how to submit the document after paying the application fee.
Yes. As long as you have successfully completed at least one course, you may request a temporary withdrawal. The maximum duration allowed for this withdrawal is up to 9 consecutive months.
The maximum time allowed to complete the program is 3 years and 6 months from the date of enrollment, including any interruptions or temporary withdrawals.
Payments can be made using a U.S.-issued credit card, an internationally enabled credit card, or by sending funds to the United States. Transfers can be completed via bank transfer or boleto (a Brazilian payment method).

No. Studying in Portuguese is simply an alternative to studying in English, it does not mean the program or institution is Brazilian.
